It came to me when I heard about a 12-year-old japanese girl name Sadako Sasaki who believed that if she make 1,000 paper cranes the gods would grant her wish. and she wished to get well but sadly she died when she only made 644 paper cranes, the news about Sadako's death got every kid involved by making more and more paper cranes in Sadako's honor. legend has it that when Sadako died her friends and her classmates filled her coffin with paper cranes and buried her with more and more paper cranes they made.
Sadako was the symbol of peace in japan. and thats what inspired me to draw this picture. for the people of japan.
